The directions below will lead you to the United Methodist Church of the Covenant at:

You may use the following three maps to guide you visually. The first and second maps, Northwest Spartanburg Overview, are area maps showing all the surrounding roads, highways and Interstates, as well as major intersections. The third map, Northwest Spartanburg Detail, shows a closeup of the UMCC area. All three maps show the church location as a red star. The intersections described in directions A, B, D and E can be seen on the first overview map. Intersection C can be seen in the second overview. The intersections are marked on the map as red and green bullseyes. As you get closer to the church, use the detail map.

A: Directions from the intersection of Interstate 26 and Interstate 85 (non-business):

1. From the intersetion of I-85 and I-26, take I-26 West towards Asheville.
2. Travel west 2.0 mi. (3.3 mi. from Business I-85) on I-26 and take Exit 16 (John Dodd Road).
3. At the top of the exit ramp, turn right on John Dodd Road and travel .5 mi. east to the stoplight at the intersection with US 176.
4. Turn right on US 176 and head south toward Spartanburg for .3 mi to Honeysuckle Road (you will pass the church on the left).
5. Make the U-Turn to the left and cross the median.
6. Travel north .1 mi. and turn right into the church parking lot either at the Day Care Center entrance, where the church office is also located, or at the Sanctuary entrance in the upper parking lot.

B: Directions from the intersection of US 176 and Interstate 26:

1. Take Exit 15 from I-26 toward Spartanburg. The exit will be to the right, but you will circle around 270 degrees in the cloverleaf.
2. At the top of the exit ramp, follow US 176 south toward Spartanburg.
3. Pass thru 2 traffic lights. The second traffic light (1.1 mi. from Exit 15 on I-26) is the intersection of US 176 and John Dodd Road.
4. Continue past John Dodd Road for .3 mi. to Honeysuckle Road (you will pass the church on the left).
5. Make the U-Turn to the left and cross the median.
6. Travel north .1 mi. and turn right into the church parking lot either at the Day Care Center entrance, where the church office is also located, or at the Sanctuary entrance in the upper parking lot.

C: Directions from the intersection of US 29 (Main Street) and US 176 (Pine Street):

1. Take Pine Street north from US 29. This intersection lies slightly east of the center of Spartanburg. Pine Street is marked as US 176 and also eventually becomes I-585 as it crosses both Business I-85 and I-85)
2. Follow US 176 for 6.3 mi. to the stoplight at the Springfield Road intersection. You will see the North Spartanburg Baptist Church on your right.
3. Continue on US 176 past the NSB Church for 1.0 mi. until you come to UMCC on the right, almost to the top of the next hill (Dodd Hill).
4. Turn right into the church parking lot either at the Day Care Center entrance, where the church office is also located, or at the Sanctuary entrance in the upper parking lot.

D: Directions from the intersection of US 9 (Boiling Springs Road) and Old Furnace Road:

1. Travel 3.2 mi. west on Old Furnace Road from US 9 to US 176 (traffic light).
2. Turn left onto US 176 and travel south for .5 mi. to the intersection of John Dodd Road.
3. Continue past John Dodd Road for .3 mi. to Honeysuckle Road (you will pass the church on the left).
4. Make the U-Turn to the left and cross the median.
5. Travel north .1 mi. and turn right into the church parking lot either at the Day Care Center entrance, where the church office is also located, or at the Sanctuary entrance in the upper parking lot.

E: Directions from the intersection of Heron Circle on Business I-85 and US 56 (Asheville Highway):

1. From the Heron Circle, take US 56 west for 2.0 mi. until it joins US 176. Be sure to bear left on US 56 to properly merge with west US 176.
2. Travel another .5 mi. to Springfield Road. You will see the North Spartanburg Baptist Church on your right.
3. Continue on US 176 past the NSB Church for 1.0 mi. until you come to UMCC on the right, almost to the top of the next hill (Dodd Hill).
4. Turn right into the church parking lot either at the Day Care Center entrance, where the church office is also located, or at the Sanctuary entrance in the upper parking lot.
